I need to make a purse cake for a baby shower. Does anyone have the directions on how to do that.Thanks alot.

Someone here made one a while back, cant remember who though, i think they cut a round cake in half and stood it up, make handles as you like.

I have made a few of them. I have made them from round and square pans cut in half. you could aslo you a hexagon pan. I have some in my photos. If you have any question just PM me.

Here is one I did. I cut a 3 inch round in half. It was not difficult at all.

When you cut this cake in half - how do you fill it - vertically or horizontally?

you fill it horizontally, but then flip it on its side (cut sides down) so that the filling ends up vertical
