Where do you buy your cake rounds and boxes? I've been buying my boxes one at a time from Village Crafts, but they only have a few sizes and they're like $2/each...and the packs of cake rounds are also fairly small.

Do you have somewhere you order larger boxes, or boxes in bulk that you're happy with? Also cake rounds in varying sizes?

I use to buy a few boxes at a time here at a local Hobby Lobby and Michaels... then it got to where I was going in there constantly to get boxes.. so I decided to just order them in bulk (100 of 2 sizes I use most frequently). The problem with ordering in bulk, it's expensive to have them shipped! They weigh a lot and you would need to have plenty of orders to really come out. As far as the cake rounds, do you mean the cake boards that you use under the cakes? They come in many sizes... from about 6" on up .. not really sure how large they go to.. I've only gone up to about 14" round cardboards.. I'm about to order those in bulk also... I keep running out of them... I buy them locally about a dozen or so at a time... but I'm am constantly running out of them ... I'm not complaining though icon_biggrin.gif

Do you order your boxes online? If so, from where? My sis and I are both doing cakes and don't have a problem with ordering in bulk...they'll definitely get used! icon_lol.gif

I'm trying to remember who I found was the cheapest as far as price and shipping on the boxes.. when I get home, I'll look on the box they're in and tell you.. I have them up on a shelf in my supply room.. I'll let you know this evening when I get home from work if that's ok icon_smile.gif

I'm lucky and work in a bakery and get all my boxes right there! That might be a decent resource for you too. I'm sure most bakeries are willing to make a buck on a box! Hope that helps! icon_biggrin.gif

Try looking in your local phone book for a paper/box supplier. Sometimes they will sell their products to individuals. I have a distributer here in NJ that I can go to and buy 1 or 2 sizes of boxes that I use all the time. Much cheaper than online or at the bakery.

I was looking at a site MrsMissey told me about. I have seen this site before, but thought I had to by wholesale. But you don't have to. Really reasonable. I'm considering ordering boxes from there.

I buy all my boards and boxes from my local box store. They have very sturdy boards and boxes to fit. I believe the brand is PAC. You could probably find it online somewhere. Also...there are 2 cakes supply stores here that sell boards and boxes. I would check the phone book for stores in your area before you order online. Good luck! icon_razz.gif
