What Type Of Icing For Wasc Cake? Help Asap Please
Decorating By twooten173 Updated 19 Aug 2007 , 1:33pm by katwomen1up
Ok... I saw the WASC cake and everyone says it's so good. So I make it tonight for the first time - buyer says I can make whatever flavor I want since she gets cakes from me about every other week. DH, best friend , and I are sampling icings with this cake and don't like what I have - BC and creamcheese icings. What do you put on yours? Any fillings? I have to get this ready for first thing in the morning.
Thanks,
Theresa
The chocolate syrup b/c frosting is tasty:

The easy & tasty cream cheese filling is good with a layer of raspberry preserves over it:

I just made that for the first time the other day and used a simple vanilla buttercream on it... it was sooo yummy!!
I've made it with a simple vanilla buttercream, and every piece was devoured. It would be yummy with a strawberry or apricot filling, too.
I just made this cake last night. I used the chocolate buttercream I made the other day, and they were really good together. I'm sure there are better out there, but this is all I've tried so far.
Good luck!!

Thanks everyone. I ended up using a plain buttercream instead of the french vanilla buttercrea (which is really sweet) with strawberry filling. I'll see the lady tomorrow and I'm sure she will give me feedback.
