I am new here and am attempting to make my first cake for my dad's birthday and today is my trial run. I am making the recipe that is titled "Durable Cake for 3D and Wedding Cakes". My question is...do I follow the ingredients on the cake mix and then add the extra stuff or just add the stuff she has listed to the cake mix? Probably a dumb question but I am sooooo new at this!! Thanks in advance!!

Just add the stuff she has listed to the cake mix. Don't follow the cake mix directions. Good Luck. Enjoy yourself. What are you going to make?

Depending on what extra stuff you are adding...I would add any dry ingredients to the cake mix and then add your water, eggs, oil, flavoring etc...Don't forget to post a pic when you are done! icon_smile.gif
