Why are there little containers of money sitting by the cakes at the Oklahoma Sugar Art Show? I saw it in several pictures. Can someone explain this other than it being tips for people? I didn't think from looking at the pics that people could even get close to the tables. Thanks!

I don't know either. I was just looking at all those pictures and wondering the same thing. I thought it a bit "odd" to have a tip jar in front of a competition cake. Am I missing something?

Okay, here's an even stupider question.....where are you seeing those pictures? I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

I can never find pics back once they get off the main page. There are a ton of pics somewhere showing all the Oklahoma Sugar Art Show cakes. Really cool--you probably could search around and find them.

I've seen the money boxes used as a way for people to vote for their favorite, with the money going to a charity once the voting is complete.

I don't know if this is what they did for at OSAS though.

i was able to read one and it says

" drop ur donation here if im your favorite cake"

those are amazing!

The money goes to Angel flight. The cake that receives the most money gets the peoples choice award.
