I made the choc. Fondat recipe from cc. When I roll the fondant out it cracke real bad it will even stick to the rolling pin and tear. I have grease ever thing really good , this does not help .I even added confectioner sugar. Any suggestions from you experts?
Hi, I'm sorry you are having problems with CMMF, OK, let's see... seems to me that you have added too much CS, cocoa tends to dry out fondant, so now what I would do is add some more crisco, have you tried that? Also, I would let it rest over night...
When I've made this, sometimes it even crumbles a little (same thing from the cocoa drying it up too much), I just microwave it and then add about 1-2 tbsp or crisco and knead knead knead while it is still worm. But DON'T add any more CS or corn starch. HTH.
