hi...when making two tiered cakes...how tall are the cakes? is it ok if i make the first tier in 2 8 inch 1 1/2 pans? and the bottom layer in 2 10inch 1 1/2 pans?? thanks!

you can do it like that just make sure that you dowel them and make sure that the dowel goes into your cake board to keep it from moving
