Hello !
I have white fondant and I want it black. I put black paste color and it is turning dark green !!!
Why it is happenning and what can I do to have it black ???
And this cake is going from here in an hour !!!
Thanks and have a good day !!
I read a post yesterday that said to use 'special dark' cocoa. Made it black, and it tasted good.
I would paint it with coloring gel, I did that with a soccer ball cake & it worked great. I don't know what you can do to get your green black though, sorry & good luck!
I have seen posts where people say you start with chocolate fondant and then add black....
Sorry I couldn't help out more...
Put some cocoa powder in it. I just made black mmf last week. I put the cocoa powder and black color in before the powdered sugar, but you should be able to kneed in some cocoa powder now and it will help greatly to make it black.
Thanks you everybody !
I go try those ideas right now !!
Thanks again and have a good day !
I just painted with black airbrush coloring when I needed black last week. Worked like a charm, even without an airbrush.
I made the small batch mmf recipe (the one with 1 cup of marshmallows). I didn't measure but I think maybe I used a tbsp. or maybe a little more.... Just put a little in and see how it looks. If it's not dark enough, add a little more. Sorry not much help. I'm not big on measuring. I kinda eyeball it and go from there.
