I'm north of Tulsa in Miami. We are trying to move to Missouri but I'll always be an Okie girl!
Hey littlecake your birthday is the day before mine, I am sure it is many, many years after though. . .
I grew up and graduated from Coweta but now live in Broken Arrow. About 30 minutes away or less from Tulsa!
I currently live in Arizona, but grew up in southeastern Oklahoma. I actually still have a house as well as all of my family there.
I lived in Spencerville, it is a small community near Hugo..not very far from Broken Bow.
I grew up in Tulsa. After college I moved to Fort Worth. My parents still live near Tulsa and I am there most holidays.
Hi, I am from Bixby, OK, just south of TUlsa. I went to OSU in Stillwater and graduated back in 92.
Family in Henryetta and OKC and Clinton and glenpool, LOL. But I am in Alaska now, have been for 6 years. I still get home frequently. I love Oklahoma and miss it. But can't handle those summers anymore.

Born in Duncan, moved to Texas as an infant, lived in the DFW area for 50 years and moved back to OK this past July. Now living at beautiful Lake Texoma near Kingston.
I was born in Tulsa, and now live in Choctaw which is about 20 miles east of OKC. I've been an Okie all my life and in various locations east to west.

I live between Sand Springs and Sapulpa, just a few miles west of Tulsa. I'm in the process of building a small commercial bakery at my house. Yea!
I would love to have any Oklahoma information on building a commercial kitchen. I can't get anywhere here in payne county, just a royal run around, if you know what I mean.
Thanks!
i think it varies from county to county...have you called the heath dept?
the came out to my place and spent a long time going over everthing with me....for no cost!
i know tulsa county is more strict than where i am...
i had to have...triple sinks...hand washing sink....mop sink...grease trap..
in some counties like wagoner i don't think you need a commercial oven (could be wrong)
where i am i didn't have to have mine vented...so that saved me a ton of money.
oh yeah...if you are building at your home....you need to call the city planner at the courthouse to see if you're zoned for it....they usually have some papers to pick up there with all the rules of your city on it.
littlecake,
thanks for the information. I have called the county health department, haven't heard back from them. I am not giving up. I will just keep calling.
I am outside city limits so zoning isn't an issue. I guess my real concern is the vent. I have heard that is really, really expensive.
i don't think you need one with an electric oven....
when the building inspector came thru....i was up in the front prayin..."Lord please don't let him tell me i need a vent!"
thank God i didn't!
