It has not been a great day so far! lol I just realized after I put my cake in the oven that I forgot to do anything to the pans. No grease, flour or spray. Is there anything I can do? Any way to still get the cakes out with out destroying them? It is Sarah's Red Velvet cake. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Otherwise I guess I will just have to make more cake balls.

Thank you,

Tabitha

Let the cakes cool in the pan on a rack. Once they are cool, run a thin blade around the outside. Then, warm the bottom of the pan either by putting in on a barely warm stove burner or by putting the cake back in the oven for a few minutes. Tap the side of the pan to loosen the cak, and it should come out. Or, cake balls it is.

Thank you JoAnn. One of the layers came out ok, the other one did not do so well. I might be able to use half of it and just make a three layer cake.

Thank you,
