Someone who has used the crusting bc please let me know how happy you were with it and which recipe you used? I am about to go and use true fondant as badly as I hate to ( taste wise) if I cant get a solution in a short while
I use the Wilton Butter Cream Recipe - it crusts -
1 cup shortening
2 tbsp water
1 tsp flavoring
1tbsp meringue powder
16 oz. powdered sugar
cream shortening
add water and flavoring and mix
then add dry ingredients and stir - once all ingredients are combined mix for 1 to 2 minutes to get a good consistency.
2tbsp water - stiff icing
3tbsp water - medium icing
4tbsp water - thin icing
