OK I have to do a cake today and the birthday girl wants the cake iced in purple...how Can I get the best purple...I dont have purple dye, but I have royal blue, rose pink, pink, and red....what do you think would be the best combination???

If you want dark purple, use the red with the blue...if you want something a little lighter I'd used the rose pink with a bit of blue!

Well, red and blue make purple. I would mix in some red, first, then add the royal blue a little at a time, until the shade you want is achieved. Remember to allow the icing time to develop - it should darken a little as time goes by.

ok thanx alot you two, I guess I could do 2 test batches to see which color is best, try the blue and pink and the red and blue...THANX!!
