Please -- Careful When Ordering From Sugarcraft

I am having a very bad experience with Sugarcraft. I ordered the race pan cake decorating kit and paid a rush order for it to be delivered to me so that I could use it for my nephew's Cars theme b-day party this weekend. Well, I received the order pretty quickly but when I opened the box , the kit was not complete - there was no cake board or any of the other stuff that comes with the kit, the edible decals they offer with the kit were disgusting and smelled terrible and the worst part of it, they sent me a pan that was banged up and USED!!!!! It was still sticky from whoever used it before. I contacted Sugarcraft right away and they are now giving me the runaround that they have to contact the manufacturer to see what the manufacturer says before they can help me, they are not taking responsibility for not having inspected the item before they shipped it and even though they are totally in the wrong, they are refusing me a refund!!! So folks beware - try to order from any other baking supply organization before you go to Sugarcraft. It is so not worth the hassle!!!
You're not the first person who has had problems with them. I've heard alot of complaints on these forums. I've ordered a couple times from them..small stuff and they were fine..thank goodness! But I do now avoid them. I'm sorry to hear about this situation. You could file a complaint with the BBB. If you look this company up on their website I think you'll see you won't be the first one to do that. Good luck!
Yeah, I clicked on a link to their site once and for some reason it took me to a BBB report of them. It wasn't very good really. Most of the issues brought to the BBB about them don't end up getting resolved or responded to. scary.
Been there, done that, got the t-shirt to show for it! So sorry for you having to deal with them.

I have heard that frequently about that company. one reason I have never ordered from them before. My new favorite place is intotheoven.com. The shipping is very resonable, the prices are great, and I recieve my order the next day (standard shipping!)
TO ALL CAKE CENTRAL FOLKS -- PLEASE NOTE -- I have just received a threat from Sugarcraft about them contacting their attorneys and putting names on suits!!! I told them to go ahead and put my name on the suit that I would love to join the group of people complaining against them!!!
So sorry to hear about these problems, but thanks for the warning!! Can you try disputing the charge with your credit card company???
That's too bad. I, too, am in the middle of something with them. Their site seems to carry a lot of great items. Guess I'll be trying intheoven.com next time too.

I work for a credit union. I would suggest that you still try to dispute that transaction.

There are many posts about the bad experiences with Sugarcraft. I ordered from them for quite some time then I had a problem with an order. They were rude and then ignored me. I wish I could tell a thousand people not to order from them. It was just awful. I can sure take my $$$ elsewhere, I will never order from them again!
I don't know what you can do in your situation but in the future steer clear. I do hope you can get it resolved.

I don't know anything about that other company so I have nothing to say about that.
But I wanted to ditto the comments on intotheoven. I LOVE THEM!!! I just placed an order with them this afternoon and I got the e-mail confirmation from " Your Baking Mistress"..lol craked me right up.
I purchased some items from them, and they charged me for the entire order - and THEN told me that a $28 item was out of stock. I said to go ahead and ship what they had - but it took almost 6 weeks for them to refund the balance. Not a huge amount of money, but I got tired of checking my balance every week to see if they would actually refund it.
I don't know why they charged me for the whole thing if something wasn't in stock...
I wouldn't shop there again - I don't like the service.
I just received a rude e-mail from Sugarcraft advising me that they will not be refunding me any money.
they really seem like crap!! I was holding iffy thoughts about them, but all these posts have pretty much guaranteed I wont ever think about them. that's horrible!
For those of you who haven't ordered from Sugarcarft - PLEASE DON'T!!! Learn from our bad experiences with them. We need to look out for one another!

I would like to know the answer to this...unless it was for slander...as long as it was proven to be true w/what yall are saying then there is nothing they can do..you are only warning people about the experiences you have had..is this only a website or is this an actual business that also has a website?
Wait... first they scam you and send you something that was not what you ordered... and then they threaten lawsuit? What?
How about all you, who have disputes with them, go together and sue their butts. If you're enough, it might be worth it.
Wow! I'm so sorry for what you're going through. Thanks for the warning! I almost ordered something from them last week but ended up getting it from intotheoven.com instead. I'm glad I did. I have to ditto the remarks about intotheoven. I was very, very pleased with my order from them and it got here very fast (ordered Wed evening, got here Fri).
I think she was saying that they were trying to get her to complain AGAINST them?? Am I mistaken??
