I like yours better... The colors are less contrasting, it looks like a fabric design.

Hi Melissa, I followed your thread from the beginning. I just wanted to comment how beautiful your cake turned out. Glad she turned out to appreciate everything after all and gave you a genuine hug.

wow, thank you. thats very humbling and i appreciate your compliment so much!

7yrrt, thank you too! i actually love the colors on the original, but the bride wanted fall colors. i wanted to skip the usual orange and yellows, so i suggested these colors, i think the reds and browns went really nicely together.

man was i ever scared of those gumpaste flowers! pretty much up until the very last moment, but then it all seemed to come together in the end. they arent perfect, by far, but my first ones, and i am pretty proud of them.
