I am giving the Williams-Sonoma strawberry cake mix a try, my bf got an offer for a really good job and this is for his coworkers at his old job. They are having a going away party for him and I wanted to make a cake for it. There are 10 of them, mostly male, do you think a 10in will do or should I do the 14in.

I would think the 10 in would be plenty. I just made a 10in cake for a small BD party (15 people) and they had left over.

Are you talking about a single 2 in layer cake??? 3in deep? 4in???

these are my own party cutting guides for a 2 - 2in tall layer cake (4 in tall total):

6 in - up to 8 servings
8 in - up to 16 servings
10in- up to 24 servings
