I am entering a cake into the state fair this year in the holiday section. I am thinking everybody will do Christmas, but Mom's fave holiday was Halloween.

Here's the story, she always had 500+ trick or treaters and she loved the "fun side" of halloween... fairies, pumpkins, angels that kinda thing. I have been looking on CC and several other sites for something that she would have loved so I can make the cake and display it. I think I am thinking toooooo much about this and it's right under my nose.

Any suggestions?

If it's the trick-or-treaters and such that was her fav part then maybe you could do a few t-o-t's on a street. That would be cute.

fairies sitting on top of a pumpkin? (could be having a tea party?)

pumpkin done up w/ angel or faerie wings?

Linus in a pumpkin patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin? (maybe even do a rendition of the Great Pumpkin?)

I like Doug's idea of a fairy sitting on a pumpkin. Maybe you could do that, but have the fairy dressed up in a costume and holding a treat bag. Or the fairy could sit on a jack-o-lantern.

I hope you post pictures of whatever you do! This sounds like a fun cake.
