I would love to try the MMF, but I don't have a microwave oven. Can the marshmallows be melted in a double boiler? Or can marshmallow creme be used? Thanks for the help!!! icon_biggrin.gif

I haven't made this yet either, but did read NOT to use marshamallow fluff. Doesn't work as well.

Yes to both...You can melt in a double boiler...a little crisco....a little water...stir often...

Marshmallow creme can be used but the texture is different than "regular" mmf. I tried it thinking I would save some time....but it doesn't roll out as nicely and I found it to be stickier no matter how much sugar I tried to incorporate. I ended up eating it...marshamllow is my favorite..just ask my scale! icon_biggrin.gif

In the original recipe...really coat everything well with Crisco...including your hand....and you will probably not use all the sugar...

Once you get the hang of it, you will love mmf....I have it down to one bowl and about 6 minutes to make a batch!
