Ok guys, so what have you found to be the best way to adhere fondant accents to a buttercream cake so that they do not fall off?!?!

I have been asked to re-create a cake from this site with fondant daisies on the sides of a square BC iced cake and lately have had trouble with BC accents and/or fondant accents falling off, so I REALLY want to hear your tips.

Thanks!!!

I have used royal icing and buttercream itself. The royal icing seems to work pretty good.

I usually just wet the back of the fondant with water and it sticks just fine.

I've had no problem just applying fondant accents to bc. The last cake I did was for July 4th and the accents were stars 1 1/2"-1/2"--none fell off.

I had just read from another post that piping gel will work wonders. Good luck!
