I made this for my son's 2nd birthday. It took me ages. Everything is edible including the train and carriages.

I did this cake for my son's birthday. I was really happy with the way it turned out. It was the first time I made modeling chocolate and mmf.

Armywife1,
I think the author listed is the author of the most recent post on the thread...
Hi,
Here's another one of mine that has few views and one comment. The graduation girl picked the design and the colors. It was fun to make, and I thought the colors looked pretty together..........
Thanks for looking!!!!

Here is my first multi-tiered cake I did for my husband's co-workers son for his first birthday. It took me about 12 hours and the teddy is sculpted out of fondant. This was a real nerve breaker to transport.
Thanks for looking!

I wanted to say this earlier but I kept forgetting. I won't always mark someone's cake as a favorite if I already have one of their cakes in my favs. I figure as long as I have one, I can always check out that person's gallery, like Thanh Thanh. I have only saved one of her cakes but every once in a while I'll go from that cake to look in her gallery.
By the way, everyone is doing an awesome job, I love looking at everyone's cakes in here!
okay I have one now. I posted this this morning, it is pretty simple though. I am sure if I waited it would be viewed more eventually! But here is my baby shower cake:

I made a baby shower cake today too. Once again it "flew" through the new cake pictures section, and didn't get many views so I'll add it here.
Thanks for looking!!!

This cake is one of my favorites. I lot of my friends are active-duty military who are only around for about 2 years and then sent elsewhere. This cake was for a very good friend who's husband was retiring from the Navy and she herself had given up her 11 year Navy career to stay home with their children and to follow her husband all over the world.

I made the cake as a gift for the retirement party and as a thank you for all that their family and families like theirs have done and continue to do for America .
OK - another under commented cake - over 100 views in one day and only one comment. Does it really look that bad? I know the shoes are a different color, but I was really proud of this cake....

I just did this cake two weeks ago and I was very proud. The cake was free because it was for my Godson. Everyone at the party loved it. I think I did a great job. The inspiration was done in fondat, but I did bc.

here's another one that didn't get too many comments on it or views for that matter, and it actually made it into the local paper......

I did this cake for My Aunt that was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer..I listed it in the birthday section as well.. there was no section for what it really was for. My family had a huge get together for her 2 weeks before she died..I worked hard on this cake and put everything I had into it..I know it's not perfect but she loved flowers..I even sent a thank you card and a pic of the cake to my former Wilton Instructor thanking her for teaching me how to do the flowers..Buttercream basket weave, fondant, gumpaste and buttercream flowers.

This is a neat idea!! I've seen some wonderful cakes that were obviously buried in the achives!
My son's college graduation cake has a special place in my my heart since it survived a collision with a deer at 75 miles per hour enroute, but it didn't get much attention.

And I was very proud of the Nike glove on this golf cake, but it didn't seem to stand out amongst the other great cakes that day.

I have been catching up on this thread again. For some reason, I stopped getting email notices for this thread and I thought it had died out. Glad to see it hasn't.
Here is one I posted over the weekend and I really like it.

Wow ! I think there should be an award for the best "My Cake Survived" story and this one would definitely be in the running! I love the books , they are very realistic.
Hi Here Is my very latest creation...I put sooo much hard work in it.
