I just tried Americolor. Wow my project is fantastic icon_biggrin.gif This is the best color I have ever used thumbs_up.gif . has anyone else noticed how much better the colors are. The red is really a red and I had to use about half as much. Why haven't I heard of these colors before? I was able to color using their airbrush with only one or two strokes icon_smile.gif

I'm glad to hear this. I have been meaning to order some of the Americolor colors, but just haven't gotten around to it. I've heard that they are really great!

Once I tried Americolor...I never went back to Wilton. You get a true color and need to use so much less of it. They get a thumbs_up.gif from me!

I don't want to use any other coloring except Americolor now. The black and red colors are so easy to tint... all the other colors I have work really well too ... Once you use it, you'll never use Wilton coloring again.

You get a thumbs_up.gif from me also about Americolor!! I bought the large bottles of Red and Black since I use soooo much and I will never use Wilton again!! There is also a seller on Ebay who sells the sets of 10 and the neon sets of 6 for really good prices.I think the sets of 10 are $9.98 and the neon colors are $6.00 I bought 2 sets of 10 so I have about 32 colors of Americolor and I love them!! If anyone is interestd in the sellers link just PM me.

AmeriColor is the only way to go!!!!! sells them individually or in kits. This is where I get mine from. They make the best most vibrant colors around!!!!!

A miracle product!!! I actually used to avoid any cookies that would require me to make a black or apples, no Santas, no tuxedos, etc. I hated that "dark pink" red and the "dark grey" blacks. They looked awful!

Now, with Americolor...I'm back to confident!! (Boy, I sound like an infomercial!!???)

I just posted my black & white tuxedo cookies and mentioned the Americolor use. I will NEVER buy those colours from Wilton, CakeCraft or ChefMaster again...just the basics from them!

well with such high reviews I just ordered some and can't wait to get them now. I have to admit I am also one who shy's away from red and black b/c I don't like to make it. If I have to use them I use as little as possible and buy the pre-made wilton stuff.

Thank's for the great tip!

Oh, and how long does a .75 oz bottle usually last everyone? That just doesn't seem like a lot to me.

I also Froogled it and found this. 1 Gal of the gel. not many color choices though lol.

I bet that would last awhile thumbs_up.gif

Usually one or two drops of red or black is enough in a cup or so of icing. The 75 oz should last a while.Longer than wilton anyway!!!

I just went to, they have 41 Soft Gel colors and and 41 matching air brush icon_smile.gif I called and talked to a man named Jim and he told me where I can get them (Pfeil and Holing). I am thinking about starting my own AmeriColor distributorship. The minimum order direct from ameriColor is only $100.00 if you have a distributor resale liscense or own a supply store. They also have merangue powder, piping gel, powderd food color, oil candycolors, food color pens and colored sanding sugars.

and check this out they invented a product called flocaot, it works like Paramount crystals only better, you add it to white chocolate and compound coatings to color them with any of their 41 gel colors.
you can add more to the chocoloate when it starts to harden and it will remain pourable and wont effect your finished product (No wasted batches) Your chocolate slips from the mold and is crisp and shiny thumbs_up.gif

Thanks for that great info! I have been ordering from CK Products, so I'm sure there is a mark up in there that I could avoid. I'm gonna check them out right now!!

I don't understand why so many are so surprised, these colors have been discussed here in the Forums before, and Americolor always comes out the greatest! Janice
