I have to make a baby shower cake for my son's financee for Sept. 24th. I thought about making a dirty diaper cake, I thought that would be funny and something different. Has anyone ever done this or does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.. icon_biggrin.gif

Okay, here's an idea..... make a cake and carve it to look like a baby's behind in a diaper, cover it with white MMF and have "stuff" oozing out of the sides and up the back..... only make sure the "stuff" is colored like a baby's. Let her know what they can look forward to!

Gross, but all in good fun. Sounds like a funny idea to me! Some thinned down buttercream in "special colors" could make some nice ooze! icon_razz.gif

Funny idea, but I'm going to agree that it may be a bit gross. Depends on the mom-to-be's sense of humor. If it's done tastefully, it could work. Good luck! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Okay have to redeem myself after the colored ooze comment....

How about a cake that looks like a diaper genie or a diaper pail? That's a little cleaner! icon_smile.gif

Your cake idea reminds me of a game that's been played at many baby showers I've been to. About 4-5 diapers get passed around, and each one has a different kind of melted chocolate candy bar in it (snickers, twix, almond joy, etc.). You have to guess which type of candy bar is in each one just by looking and smelling. It's kind of gross, but so fun! Anyway, I think it would be fun if you used a melted candy bar as the diaper contents. icon_smile.gif
