Your cake looks just fine. What did your sister have to say about it that was negative? I think I wouldn't be asking her for any more opinions. icon_lol.gif

You've done a good job. Don't beat yourself up.

I think it came out really well. It looks pretty and well executed. My personal taste would have been to "twist" them more (like your practice cake), but if she wanted them slightly twisted you gave her what she asked for! What were her complaints? Unfortunately, sometimes family members are the worst customers!

Ignore her and keep baking,
Kathi

I think it looks pretty! I like the scrolls. Is this a practice cake? Will there be more tiers? My suggestions though might be to level the cakes more, the top cake looks a little sloped. Might look nice with an additional tier and have them be different sizes.

I think you did a great job! Your sister has nothing to complain about. If I made such a nice cake for my sister and she gave me negative feedback, I would never make her another cake!
May I ask if she paid you for the cake or was this a gift to her from you?

I agree with kathik and merissa. And if your sister isn't happy with your cakes, then "NO more CAKE FOR HER"!

If she doesn't see the beauty of it and realize all the hard work and effort required than she's not deserving of your hard work and talent!

Welldone, and I love the way the flowers cascade down the cake. thumbs_up.gif
