O.k., here's the dilemma, our VBS is going on this week and I was thinking of having safari animal cupcakes on Friday for the big finale picnic when we go to the zoo. I have found ideas for a monkey and lion, any ideas on any other animals??

There is about 75 kids, I thought cupcakes would be great to have for dessert at the picnic, am I nuts???

Any input would be appreciated.

In the Wilton yearbook 2001 or 2002 there are some really cute ones... made wtih the Noah's ark candy molds I believe... someone on here just made them. I remember seeing the pic... but I can't find it at the moment... I will look again a little later or maybe someone else remembers where to find it.

I think they were Elephants, Giraffes and Lions..with palm trees... really cute! I plan on making them myself.

Although 75 is A LOT of work!!!!!! lol

a lot of work but worth it for the publicity!!

Thanks for the idea, I only have the last two years of the yearbook, I will have to search for the info.

The 2006 yearbook that just came out has a picture of animal cupcakes on the front, you might see if you can find it. I saw it on www.sugarcraft.com under "new items".

Since you have so many...maybe you could find some kind of animal cracker or cookie to put on top. My other suggestion would be a candy mold. Good luck!

Hi. This site has a cake and cupcake finder:
http://familyfun.go.com/recipes/special/tool/cakefinder_tlp/

It is great! Maybe you could get some ideas.

You could also do a "cupcake cake" in the shape of an animal (or several) using cupcakes.

Hope this helps.
