I am curious...does everyone here ( that does cakes for the public)provide boxes to take the wedding cake home in? I mean a lot of people order a cake for 300 if they are inviting 200 so they will have plenty...or to allow for seconds. I always provide a few cake boxes for take home. Of course for the top tier but a couple of big ones as well for whats left of groomscake & wedding cake.

That's really nice of you. I provide a box for the top tier and that's all. Usually there isn't a lot left over and there are tons of boxes in the kitchen from rolls and other bread items that can be used.
