For my sons 3rd B'day we are having a firetruck theme. But he only wants a winnie the pooh cake. I have a standup winnie the pooh cake pan which I have never used and so would like to try my hand at it for his b'day. How can I incorporate the firetrucks with this? Please give me suggestions for the same and if you have any tips on using the stand-up pan - those will be great too.
What does the winnie the pooh cake look like exactly? I ask because there may be a way to decorate it so that he is wearing a fireman's jacket instead of his usual yellow t-shirt.
Put a fire hat on Pooh. Maybe using the mini ball pan for the top and candy melts for the brim. Then dress him in a fireman's jacket.
The stand up pan will be pretty easy. I have used the stand up bear (which I think are very similar) and have no catastrophes. I add 2 extra T. of flour to my mix to make it a bit more dense. The directions usually say to use a chocolate, pound or butter mix as opposed to the lighter/fluffier white.
Not sure if Pooh has a heating core, but I have seen other threads mention that bakers have gone without it and it did just fine. I have always used mine.
