AYou're allowed to start a new post, ya know? This one is 7 years old! Lol ;-) I personally don't want mine to melt into the icing, because it will blur. As long as its not going to go flying off if a breeze hits it, it's probably fine. If the corners are peeling up, you can lift them and dab a little corn syrup or water on the icing under them and smooth them back down. Chances are it has absorbed the moisture and softened, so if you pick it up now, it will fall apart.
Thanks for the advise. Just seems gross to cut the cake and big pieces of "paper" peel off.
My sheets are like wafers and don't have any backing on them. My came in that kit from that site. There are 2 different kind, maybe the other ones have a backing.
