I'm putting a ribbon on the the bottom edges of a three tier cake. Do I put the ribbon on each tier before stacking? Should I use a seperator plate (same size as the cake) between the tiers so the bottom of the ribbon does not touch the layer below?

Thanks....

You can do it either way..........I usually put the ribbon on the tier before stacking, and I use the Wilton hidden pillars and seperator plates (same size as each tier) to stack cakes. You may need to do some touch ups once you get the cake set up.
Good luck.

I always assemble on site and attached the ribbon after assembly. this way, any gaps can be covered by the ribbon.
