making an ice cream cake for labor day and not sure what to frost it with. Any suggestion/recipes would be great!!

I made an ice cream cake last week and just iced it with whipped cream that I flavored strawberry.

Frost it with softened ice cream. Soften it and put chunks into bowl. Mix with paddle til the consistency you desire. Then freeze up again. Decorate with buttercream or whipped icing returning to freezer to firm up periodically.
