Hi Everyone! I'm making a double layers 1/4 sheet cake for my newphew's graduation from high school and the school colors are blue and red. I have Christmas red and a no taste red paste. Can I use the Christmas red and not the tasteless red and use the blue & Christmas red for the borders top and bottom for the cake? The filling would be either red raspberry or strawberry and rest of the cake would be butter cream frosting.

My other question is, how much icing would I need to cover the entire 1/4 sheet being two layered cake allowing some for the borders. I would be using blue gel for the writting. Thank you all for the feedback. Have a great day.
