hello!

i will be baking a birthday cake for about 100 people. i do not have any pans large enough to serve this many people, so i will have to buy one (or two). what size cake pan should i purchase? i went to michael's and found an 11 x 15 and a 12 x 18. not sure if i'm going to layer them yet.

would appreciate your suggestions! icon_smile.gif

Either would be great! You may have to make a couple or layer them to get a deeper cake.

I would get the 12 by 18 , I like that size because you can bake one cake and cut it in half and make a quarter sheet. I get 48 2 by 2 servings from that size, or 24 on the quarter. You can also put 2 together and get 96 2 by 2's, that is putting them side by side, which would equate to a full sheet.

I would go with the 12x18 too. It's a more standard size.
