I am doing a Colts themed birthday party. I just got the horseshoe cake pan but it won't serve enough so I am going to add it on top of a sheet cake. Would it look best to have it laying down on the sheet cake or is there a way that I could prop it up at an angle? And should I make the sheet cake like a football field or leave it solid.

You could do it at an angle by making two of the horse shoe cakes, cutting one at an angle and then laying the whole one on top of that. As far as the sheet cake goes, I think it would look nice with the field.

I put a horseshoe cake on top of a 16" round cake. Worked really well.
