WOW did I sure learn alot making that cake. The BCT came out pretty good. I made a big mistake though not thinking, I wrote Happy Birthday Brendan before I put the bct on...Well Bob was soooo big it went over the writing. Good thing my son only cared about Bob...LOL Thank you to everyone for all your help Can't wait to make another cake. The pictures I will attach are the first 2 cakes I have made with no lessons just winging it.My attachment was to large I will have to try to resize them
I did use the flower nail in cake mix and the viva paper towels both worked great.

What is the flower nail in the cake mix?

I believe what is being referred to is placing a flower nail upsiode down in the cake pan before baking in order for the cake to cook in the middle. It is usually done on larger cakes, and take the place of a heating core.
