I apologize if this topic is out there already but I can't seem to find a quick answer. How much gumpaste do you add to a standard batch of MMF? Do you add the powder or mix it up first then blend it into the MMF dough? How long will it take to dry? Any input is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey Christina,

The standard amount of gumpaste is 1tsp. per 12 oz of fondant. I usually just guess when I make MMF. It does not matter when you add it to the MMF, just make sure to mix it in well.

BTW, love the cake you made for the 1st birthday, you have beautiful cakes. Nice name too! icon_lol.gif

I use Wilton's ready to use gumpaste and mix 1/2 MMF and 1/2 gumpaste. As far as drying, it depends on the thickness. Usually in 24-36 hrs my decorations are ready to use though not always 100% dry. Hope this helps.
