I did this cake for new neighbors to give to them tonight. It's so bland! icon_sad.gif Any little tricks to jazz it up a little?

I think its beautiful the way it is...you may end up making it look cluttered if you add to it....good luck!

Do you have any dragees you could add in between every other shell to dress it up?

Maybe some string work on the side? (Of course I'm not so good at stringwork, so I'm not quite sure why I'm suggesting it). icon_lol.gif

Maybe add in a couple of little stick figures holding up signs that say "hello", "welcome", etc. Other than that I can't suggest anything else. I am sure they will love it no matter what you do.

What about white cake sparkles? I use this alot on my cakes for that extra little finishing touch.

Maybe you could add some yellow dots between the shells and yellow to outline the lettering, add some dimension...? It does look good as is also.

I am very new to cake decorating, but I have seen people take the writing and then use another color over what they already piped to make it bolder. Maybe that would be something easy you could add to the cake.

I think it looks great already! I love the colors and design. What lucky neighbors!!

I should've just left it alone. icon_cry.gif Don't have any dragees, only pink cake sprinkles & I like the little stick people idea, but not enoough room. Soooo, I tried adding flowers. Should I let it crust and try to scrape them off or just leave it alone?

fat-sissy:
Your cake is great. I would be thrilled if someone made this for me! Leave it alone. The flowers are a nice touch.

If the picture was smaller adding more stuff would make it better but adding too much might not be good idea flowers in the corner like the other ladies suggested might be good maybe just flowers by the title or on the top corners
