I have wedding cake to do in mid July. The bride would like BC icing on the cake with a 2" band at the bottom that is shiny. I was thinking if it came down to it I could use ribbon, but wondering if I could put a fondant band around the bottom. I have never worked with fondant but was planning on experimenting with it tomorrow. First of all will it work? How do a attach it to the BC and will it stay? I would then use luster dust or something of the like to make it shiny. Any and all suggestions would be very much appreciated!!

it will work, all you need to use is some bc to adhere to the cake.
