How many people does the whole cake serve? I would charge $10 more if it's covered in fondant

ok, let's say the bottom is a 10" round and the top is obviously the duck pan, how much to charge with just BC? or with fondant? I don't know where to begin and also, what do you think the bubbles are made of? They don't look like plain buttercream (waiting to hear back from the baker herself)
help please! icon_smile.gif

the bubbles look like royal icing to me. there are some serving templates in the gallery that you might be able to get a rough idea of how many people it would serve. but i'm with notjustcake, i'd charge at least $10 a serving.

I would think you could charge $50-60 for this cake

ok, I just got an update the cake needs to serve 60 people, so the sizes I said need to be adjusted, probably a 12" round on the bottom?

About the bubbles, I'd say they were BC piped on with a round tip.

you are in NY, the bottom is a 12 - I would say $75-$100. But, I am in Texas, where some cakes come cheap. I am a beginner, decorate only in buttercrem and usually charge $1 per serving.

I did a two tier bubble cake with a real rubber duck in the DC area and charged $90 for it. I would charge $100 for this no questions asked. that's a lot of cake and work.

Honastly this is too much work for $100.00 in NY people pay good money for cake. I would charge at least $3.00 per serving on this one, if not a little more. I have done this stupid duck (wanky cake week made me hate the duck, sorry icon_redface.gif ) and it took forever to cover it in stars, so that is why I would charge so much. hope that helps
