Just thought I would share this picture. A friend'f sister was 60 and her hobnby is sewing. I was challenged tol do womething with that theme and this is what I came up with. Must say that I am quite pleased with it. The "machine" is a run out. Had to do one in the reverse as well so that I had both sides covered and then put an afro pic in the middle to hold it up - plus more royal icing of course. the cake is a two tier oval fondant covered with royal icing decorating. Tell me what you think please.

Thank you all so much for the kind remarks. I actually had an old sewing machine that my mother owned in mind when I thought of using that as a theme, and I found one on the internet to use as a guide.

Simply beautiful. Great replica of the sewing machine. My grandmother also had one before she passed away. I loved watching her use it, especially the foot paddle.
