I know it's a little early for halloween, but these are for a friends birthday tomorrow. Before I finish them all, do they look ok? My DH said they're fine, but I never know if he's just saying that so I'll hurry up and finish or what . So whaddaya think? I'm not very experienced so don't expect greatness....
I was concerned about the skulls not the flowers- sorry I should have said that before! They are made entirely of royal icing- just piped out and the eyes indented after they crusted a little. I am not really comfortable with anything but royal and buttercream so it kind of limits what I can do. Thanks for the comments!

I love the way you did the "mouth".
Now I'm curious to see the cake they are going on!
they look really cool...but, what are these for? I can't wait to see how it all comes together.
Red roses & skulls...oh how I love those two things <3
Oh, good- you could tell those were supposed to be roses! I am no good at making the whole ones yet and this was my first attempt at the half ones .
Thanks for all the positive re-inforcement guys, I need it! I'll be finishing the "cake" later on today and I will be sure to post a pic when it's all done.

Okay, here it is- it's not really a cake, it's brownies that I frosted with fudge icing (the birthday boy is a chocoholic). I need to practice so badly, my writing is not so great...I'm sure in a year or so this could very well go in the "worst cakes" thread, but for now I'm happy with it and it was a lot of fun! Thanks for looking
I think that it looks really cute. I do not think that this will be in the worst cake thread. Take a look at a few of mine and you will see what needs to be in the worst cake thread.
WOW! I think they look great especially since they were made out of royal Icing. I can't wait to see the whole cake. I love anything halloweeny!
GREAT JOB!
