The range of prices is scary! Some cakes seem to be priced too low and some are astronomically high - I live in VA and I think it was the most expensive cake and I couldn't believe it! I mean the guy who baked it is amazing but still, $4300 for a cake is a lot! My whole wedding had that budget!
thats a dream come true, you'll have to tell us if it brings you extra business. make sure you get extra copies, put one in a frame and hang it too. your local newspaper may even do an article now, how exciting.

The girl who called me from Time Inc. said she has been searching websites for cakes with artistic themes. They had narrowed some down and had the shops email photos with the bride and grooms name, the wedding date, the flavor of the cakes, the price tag and the shop info with the website.
She called me and said we got chose and that is all I know.

Your cake is beautiful--I love your creations! That was fun looking at all the different cakes, and I also was amazed at the price ranges. I guess what state you live in does impact how much you can charge for a cake?? That was an eye-opener for me.

It is very interesting to see prices from different states. I have never lived in Virginia, but I want alot more cake for 4300.00. Also there were many cakes that should have gotton more money.

I am Lora and Gina is my 23 yr old daughter. She baked and iced the cakes, we took turns stacking a layer on top and then I decorated the cake.
That cake serves 172.

Your cake is beautiful! Congrats! Couldn't believe the $4,000+ price of the one from Virginia. Did you catch the names of the bride and groom from Tennessee? The bride's name is Tegan Wilson, and she married Jeff Tilson, so now she's Tegan Wilson-Tilson! Thought that was funny.

some pretty nice cakes in that collection... was interesting seeing all the price tags too... some of them made me wonder if their sugar was laced with gold leaf or something... the prices that they were charging... especially compared with other cakes that weren't so over the top...

Congrats!! That is awesome! I live in VA and had just come across our person's website the other day. Not that I could ever afford a cake from there but it said they offer classes. Anyway congrats again!!
