What's the difference between fondant and sugarpaste?
I apologize if this question has been brought up before.

Hi MsS, no don't worry there are no dumb questions to ask here icon_wink.gif

Sugarpaste or fondant are the same thing. For example Debbie Brown (she's from England) always calles it sugarpaste. Others call it fondant. You can have 2 types of fondant, rolled fondant for covering cakes or fluid fondant which you can poor over cupcakes (or maybe even large cakes but i don't know that for sure). Peggy Porschen uses for example the liquid one for her cupcakes and petit fours.

Good luck with your cakes!!

Thanks Lara. I suspected it was a English vs American terminology.

I'll be sure to post again if I have anymore 'dumb' questions! Haha!
