There are quite a few sheet cakes on here done by other members that I just love and have quite a few of them in my favs.

I would have to say my most favorite are the ones I have done especially the ones I get to put flowers on. This is the cake that made me really love doing sheet cakes.

I am so glad to find people that like their cakes. I have a terrible time even looking at my own. All mine seem to have these huge faults that make me want to throw them out. I know we are our own worst critics but mine are not good and I feel like I have done the best I can. All that you all have posted are perfect!

HI all! First, what a great post! How creative everyone is! Second, thanks to whomever posted my Singing Sunflowers sheet cake! Third, I love this site and all the info and ideas everyone has!
I have another one I like of mine (which I've come to find out I am my own worst critic! Anyone ELSE like that????? hahaha) - it's my Eifle Tower cake. It's rare when I REALLY like a cake, and I really liked that one! icon_smile.gif

Have a great day!!!!

AmyCakes - I couldn't resist posting your cake! I love it!

I get decorator's block as well when I look at a sheet cake... I had started a post to show my awe of those of you that can create something out of a sheet cake, because, frankly, I can't - look at my photos - lol, only one is a sheet cake, the 50th birthday... but that just shows why I don't post my sheet cakes!!!

I hope people continue to post their faves, I'd love to add a bunch more to my collection.

cakemommy,
I was speaking about myself being bold--I hesistate to ever brag or pat myself on the back for my own accomplishments when I should. Alot of others have posted thier own cakes and I was applauding all of you. I'm sorry if you took my wording of my post personally. I would NEVER insult any of the CC members--you have all been a great help and sorce of encouragement to me. My post followed yours, but I was not "targeting" anyone--just adding my own post about myself. Again, I'm sorry that my wording caused any grief for anyone. I will certainly be more carefull if I ever post again in the future.

MCook~Actually I did take that personally and I also knew that others posted their cakes as well so that's why I posted mine. I too thought sheet cakes were very boring but have since been proven wrong be many people on here who have inspired me to give them a try.

I apologize for being rude. I don't typically respond like that but I just wanted to make it known that it IS okay to be proud of your own accomplishments.

Thank you for clearing up your intentions and I am very sorry for taking it the wrong way. icon_biggrin.gif

Well, I don't know what the full intentions were for beginning this thread, but I must say that it really helps us "small town folk" who never get anything but sheetcake orders.

People around here only know sheetcakes. I have tried to talk people out of them, and rarely, I am successful. I wish I had the opportunity to do more elaborate cakes.

Thanks for the ideas, they will definitely help to keep things fresh!
