I love the enhanced cake formula from this site...........it makes the cake the texture of a pound cake, so easy to decorate, and it is moist, and you get about 8 cups of cake mix batter with it rather than the 4-6 cups that just a cake mix gets..........I have used it with PB and BC cake mixes and they all turn out great.....I am sure others have other opinions, but this is mine! thumbs_up.gif

I like the WASC cake because it has so many flavor variations, using different extract, liqueur, liquor, white chocolate, berry or lemon juice, cocoa and any flavor of cake mix.

The cake is very moist and tasty, but comes from a box!

Also, it makes 14 cups of batter per recipe:

8 ounce container of REAL sour cream
cup of sugar
cup of flour
egg
pinch of salt
2 tablespoons flavoring
....and sometimes, depending on the flavor, I will substitute one cup of water that the box mix calls for, for one cup of coffee syrup...if I have a flavor that will go with the cake thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif

For the last two cakes I made I used the recipe Wendoger
suggested (the sour cream one) and everyone raved about it. Also the cake is denser and withstand stacking better than if just from a box and is super moist. thumbs_up.gif

Does anyone know how the WASC compares to the enhanced recipe? Is one better than the other for stacking and carving?

I haven't carved a WASC, but it is pretty dense. I think they'd work about the same. thumbs_up.gif
