How does everyone make the basket tops or box covers on their cakes. When you have a present cake and the box looks open, or a picnic basket with the top open... am I making sense icon_confused.gif ?? I would love to make a box for a shoe cake I am making, but I am not too sure how to do it.

Thank you!! thumbs_up.gif

Most of the members here that have done those cakes say they use cardboard for the tops.As to propping them up..some have used dowels or just laid it ontop.HTH!
