Hi all,

I was making cookies yesterday, and I was using black. This was the first time that I have tried Americolor super black, and about 3 hours into drying they were splotchy. I know great description. There were about 3 spots on each cookie that were actually black, and the rest was a grey color. I think crap, I got oil into the RI, and now they are no good. I continued to let them dry overnight and this morning they were all black and perfectly dried, just like I wanted them.

I have used Wilton paste up to this point (only color available), and I just bought the Americolor on a trip to the US. Is this normal with Americolor, and should I expect this with super red too?

Any ideas?

Be sure to let the color rest a bit, the mix the icing again.

The icing doesn't all dry instantly at the same pace. It probably will dry in splotches
