Some Sad News To Share........

To my Frosting Friends....my beloved husband of 38 years, passed on Wed. night. It was a complete shock. Massive heart attack.
I am doing ok. I have a strong faith in the Lord and I know he is with him now.
Thankfully, I have no wedding cakes til June 16th. So I will manage. Pray for my sons, as they took it hard. I'll pop in here & there. I will have family all week. But you will all get a chuckle out of this:
I was trying to think whether I would continue my home wedding cake business but I quickly had to go with staying in it. You see, I have bought up 40 cans of trans fat shortening in my entire area, and I need to use it all!!!!!

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. The Lord will see you through this tough time. A loss at anytime is difficult, but expecially so when it is so sudden and you have no time to prepare.
I think if you should decide to stop your at home baking you have a few friends that would gladly take that trans-fat Crisco off your hands.

My Husband lost his father to a massive heart attack in January. it was such a shock and so painful. Our prayers are with you. Life is definantly different after you lose someone so quickly. I think it made my husband, chidren and the rest of my family even more precious to me. I know this time will be hard for you and your sons and I will pray that your family will grow stronger as I believe ours has.

Thank goodness for a sense of humor. That Trans fat free Crisco will get you through many a baking and hopefully that will keep your spirits up. You can't give up your business just yet, give yourself time to grieve before making any sudden changes. And stay in touch, we are here for you.

This brought a tear to my eyes. I'm very sorry to hear your news but also very proud of you for sharing it with us.
I hope you and your sons are ok and time really does heal. It will just probably take some time.
