I need a filling for a chocolate cake that has no egg and no dairy in it. I'm having a birthday party for my daughter next week and one of the kids it allergic to both. Any ideas? I already have the cake recipe. If nothing else I just won't use a filling. Thanks for the help.
Just use a dairy free BC recipe.I use Lactose free margarine in my diary free icings.
I realize this is a very old post, but WHOA. Lactose free margarine is NOT necessarily dairy free. Be very careful what you are using for dairy free customers, as it is very common to find dairy ingredients in lactose free products. Watch for things like whey, casein, lactulose, anything with the word caseinate...always ask if they have an allergy, and how severe it is.
