Has Anyone Ever Made Homemade Vanilla Extract?

I think I am going to try it really soon. I'm just finding out some more details from a lady on a recipe swap board I go on.... You can use either vodka or bourbon, & vanilla beans and just let them soak for a long time, weeks I think. I think it will work out way cheaper than buying vanilla in those tiny bottles.

Someone just post that the other day on here .. can't remember who .. I think they need to put that in the recipe section if it hasn't been done already icon_smile.gif
