Just do the math! thumbs_up.gif

What size are you going to cut the pieces?

12x18: If you cut them 2x2, then you will be cutting 6 rows by 9 columns = 54 pieces. If you cut them 2x3, then you will be cutting 6 rows by 6 columns = 36 servings.

Do the same with any other rectangle or square cake.

For single layers, I base my pricing on 2x2x2 standard serving sizes. If they plan to cut it bigger, they should plan to buy more cake.

I will never confess how many years I struggled with this same issue until I figured out how to "do the math"! icon_redface.gif

AI'm doing a cake for 50. Thought I would use the 12 x 16 x 2 and do a two layer... 3 cake mixes in each. Does that sound right?
