I went to a cake demo, and the artist had used Pistachio Buttercream filling and frosting... Looked lovely ( I love green) icon_biggrin.gif .

Does anybody have a recipe for this, or any idea where I can find it?

I have a Pistachio filling recipe if you would like to use that one for your filling as for the frosting I dont have one but will look for one for ya...

The filling recipe is at www.Ladycakes.com under recipes then under fillings... Good luck... and after the holiday I will find the other one for ya. if you still need it ..

Thanks so much...I'll give it a try...

But one question, am I to boil the heavy cream to disolve the pudding mix? I tried a filling one using pudding mix, and you could feel the grains...They did not disolve...

Since its not my recipe I cant give you a for sures but this is what I would do if it was me.... I would get the box of pudding make it the same way you would pudding then add your whipped cream and your nuts and then let it get firm then add it to your cake as your filling. remember to make a dam around the outter rim of your cake to hold the pudding in the middle of the cake so it dont run out the sides.. I think that if you use a Pistachio buttercream frosting that is going to be too much... I would just do the filling or the frosting but not both but that is just my thoughts on this dont mean they are right or wrong.. if you know what I mean..
