Do you mean paint WITH jell-o or paint ON jell-o? Have you tried googling it? I did and found recipes on how to paint with jello. They said it looks like the new "milky gel pens" that are out and you write on black paper with.

I had no luck finding instructions for painting cakes with jello..... I would love to see pictures of cakes that have been painted to see what it looks like...

nejiad was making these j-ello cakes. I don't think she would mind my sharing the recipe she gave me:
4 C milk
4 envelopes unflavored jello
2 C sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Put it all in a pan on the stove until hot - DO NOT boil. Pour into pan
and leave until set.
She then painted on the jello with food coloring gels
I haven't had the opportunity to try this yet but she said it "tastes delicious!"

I have admired nediad's jello cakes but I am still confused. Is the jello mixture posted the actual "cake" or is it the top layer like frosting you put on a baked cake? Thanks for any clarification.
Could you do this on an actual cake covered with a white fondant icing instead of on a jello cake? Say you took clear gelatin, colored it and thinned it out could you use that and paint effectively like the example jello cake above?
Please, oh, please tell me this could be done..
